Raziela Designs was birthed in April of 2009 even though owner/designer,
Shelly Owen has been creating one of a kind jewelry since the early
1990s. "I started out just recycling old broken jewelry and repairing a
favorite piece. I then decided I could do this. I created pieces usually
for gifts that turned into people requesting special items for their
friends, family, and special occasions." What began as a teenage hobby,
turned fundraiser for a local church, became a means for relaxation and
income. With over 10 years of graphic design experience, Mrs. Owen
uses her design skills to help create beautiful, one of a kind
What's with the funny moniker? Raziela is an Aramaic name which can be translated as: "the secret of the Lord, my secret is God, or the Lord's secret". Psalm 25:14 states, "The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant." This name was chosen to pay tribute to the Jewish heritage of the owner/designer.
Does faith play in important role in the designs? Owner/Designer, Shelly Owen, says, "Yes". "My designs are my expression of creativity to honor an infinitely creative God. They are an extension of who I am and where I am in Him. I pray blessing over each piece and the recipient before shipment is made."
Shelly Owen has been married since June 10, 2006 and is a mother to two boys. She is currently volunteers as the director of Women's Ministries for Trinity Gospel Fellowship in Richland, MS, a Cousin Creative Circle Ambassador Silver Sister Member, and maintains certification with Bead Corner Design Academy.
