Introducing Your New Dashboard

It's been a while since our last update to Articents, and I apologize for that. Several months ago I began work on a few simple updates to the Dashboard. It started with a few tweaks, then a few more and then finally we decided to give it a complete overhaul and ended up redesigning it from the ground up. Needless to say, we took on a much bigger task than what we had first anticipated.

So what's new? For starters, we worked with a graphic designer to create a new theme and layout for us. This new design is not only much better looking, it works better too. In fact, it can even adapt to the size of your browser window. To see it in action, log in and resize your window and watch it change. There are three different viewing modes depending upon how big your window is.

While we're very happy with the result, we're also not ashamed to admit that there are still areas for improvement such as the navigation. We also updated several edit pages to help make them more intuitive to use. We even added tooltip help bubbles throughout the site to help explain key features.

In addition, we added several improvements that cannot be viewed from your browser. These include things like better error tracking and reporting, performance improvements and better "hooks" for future updates and features. Some of the things that we're exploring is the ability to upload more than one photo at a time and the ability to tag photos so that you can find them quicker.

Hi Love the new dashboard?? Some feedback Question When will you do something about the product list! As in Define newely listed?? Everything I just listed is at the bottom om the product page?? Seems backwards!! And a pain to get to? I know there is a search bar at the top! And how about being able to edit from the listing page instead of going all the way back to the dashboard & Products and the finding the item to edit?? There is allot of time spent looking...

Thanks for pointing that out. I just published a quick fix for this to help you out in the short term. For now, the items are now arranged in alphabetic order and there is a new checkbox that will allow you to only show newly added items. Right now, these are all items added within the past two days. We'll be sure to refine this more so that you can specify items added within day, week, month etc and also look into making the columns clickable for sorting

Hi. I think the new design may work ok. However, I now can't see the main page of my store and don't like that much. When I click on my store it just gives me the different spots to click on such as galleries,pages etc, but never the main page. I liked it before when I could go to my store main page and view the items. But I do appreciate all the work you've put into the design.

Well, dummy me, hehe. I just found that if I click on the arrow at the top right that says go to my website it takes me to my store. All the good work you've done just keeps getting better. Thanks to all of you.

Hi there I just noticed while Listing items if I have to go back and edit the retail price disappears??? I have had to go back an fix allot of my listings because there is no retail?

I would appreciate it if you would return the sort page back to the way it was before. Every time I rearrange my shop it defaults back to the alphabetical order which is not what I want to show. It does not work for my edits or home page view. Or have the list chosen by the seller. The photo listing works perfect. Thank you.

Hi there! I just had my 3rd order!! yeah! However I discovered that I cannot contact the buyer through Articents?? I sent an email to her BUT If it goes to her junk mail she will never know its there and there is Info regarding her order in the email. I think this is a flaw not being able to contact a seller to say thank you,,updat the order or check in with them! If I have missed this then please disregard.. but please let me know how I can contact her through my store..Dee

Hi Again! Just had my 4th order! Pretty excited about that!! This was multiple items when I look at the invoice the list of items are there BUT there is NO picture!! Again another FLAW I have a few different Mickey Mouse Charms...so right now in order to see what was sold I have to leave the invoice and go to my store and look at past sales!! This can create allot of mistakes while trying to complete the order! At the very lease on the invoice to have the link to the product so you can quickly see what it is! BUT the Picture whould be 100% better.. I know you are still doing allot of thing but some of these things have to be addressed if you want to keep sellers here... I like it and I want to stay,but this is allot more time consuming than my othere places I have..Dee

Hi there, I am sorry if I am being a pain!! I keep getting this error message Internal Server Error when I click on my product page! I have not been able to access since Friday to edit or fix anything! Very frustrating!! Lack of response since the is frustrating as well! Dee

Hi Dee, I was able to fix your "Internal Server Error" last night. I apologize once again for that error and any trouble that may have caused you. I like your idea regarding the product photo on the invoice, and I added that as well. In addition, I also added the buyer's email address on that page so you can reach them directly if you have any questions.

Hello, Although I do like the new dashboard and modifications done, I miss the old way of listing my items and being able to see the product at the same time. Glad that I can post and learn from other artisan's comments on this board.
