Current Events at Articents

As of late, we’ve been receiving a great deal of inquiries from guests so I thought it would be a good time to address some of the common questions and concerns that we’ve seen pop up over the past several weeks. Here they are in no particular order:

Do I need PayPal to use Articents?
Yes. All of the transactions on Articents are handled through PayPal, so you as a shop owner will need to have an account with them in order to receive payments from your customers. Customers, on the other hand, are not required to have a PayPal account because PayPal will also handle credit card payments on your behalf and then deposit that amount to your account. At no time does Articents handle any of the money involved in a transaction, so once a payment is cleared by PayPal, it will be deposited directly into your account from your customer.

I do not see a category for the items I create
No worries, we can add that for you. Our categories will continue to grow and evolve over time and is largely based upon user feedback. You may find that they get rearranged and moved around a bit, but this is only to help enhance the usability of the website so that customers can find what they are looking for more efficiently.

I do not like the way Articents looks today
I apologize for this as the current site was designed by myself - a computer programmer by nature. The very first version (for those who remember) was strictly functional and, quite frankly, it was ugly. The current version is actually quite an improvement over the last, however, it is still lacking. Having said that, I would like to announce that I am currently working with a graphic designer to address these concerns and a new design will be coming soon.

Can I import my items from Etsy?
No, at least not yet. This is something that I have plans to do in the near future though, so stay tuned.

Can I offer different shipping rates for different countries?
Not yet here either, but this is something that I am currently working on. I hope to have it implemented by March.

How do you separate Handmade vs. Reseller shops
This is an area that we are concerned with and we are working hard to solve this.

Shipping seems to be the major concern of a lot that I have talked to. I hope this is one of your top priorities for March. I am looking forward to being a part of your growing success. The best of luck to you and all Articents members.
